Hiking fans are guaranteed to find what they are looking for here - from easy walks to challenging mountain routes. Whether panoramic high-level trails, romantic lakes and white-water gorges, or leisurely walks through Alpine meadows: there are great opportunities for all mountain enthusiasts to enjoy extended mountain hikes with family or friends.

Zillertal's Area for Alpine Hiking Tours

Zillertal is a classisc Alpine hiking area par excellence! The entire Zillertal Alps Nature Park offers over 200 km of hiking trails and covers an area of 379 km². Numerous three-thousand-metre peaks and 8 refuge huts, as well as rare animals, are to be found in the Zillertal Alps Nature Park.

The Alpine landscape was awarded the "Nature Park" status in 2001. There are fourteen peaks that are higher than 3,300m. The most well-known are Hochfeiler 3,510m, Ahornspitze 2,972m, Olperer 3,476m, Tristner 2,765m, Großer Löffler 3,376m, Rastkogel 2,762m and Reichenspitze 3,303m.
